Penghu Islands' Food Culture Exhibition

- Utilizing the reclaimed spaces in the Penghu reclamation hall and based on the 24 Solar Terms, 5 exhibition halls were implemented, including: the “Winter, Autumn, Summer, Spring Food Expo” and the “Domestic Supplies Expo.” The exhibitions were comprised of manuscripts, exhibits, and “images.” Down-to-earth descriptions were adopted to accompany the close-up images in order to bring out the “meaning of food” hidden within. The organizer's subjective view was used as an introduction to Penghu's traditional cuisines and local lives.
Times change and there are constant innovations in food culture. While enjoying delicate food, we have forgotten our ancestor's wisdom and the spirit and meaning of traditional food. Based on these factors, this exhibition explored the local Penghu dishes to reminisce about their unique charms.
